Believing in the less is more philosophy has prompted me to further streamline my possessions. Now I only want things that look good on me, work when I need them to and are an asset to my busy life. Although my kids are grown and more independent, it seems like I have a lot more responsibilities and a lot less time in which to accomplish them. As a new year begins, I have once again resolved to buy things only when I need them and buy better so that I am not constantly replacing them.
Thinking about the bigger picture... things that don’t last are bad for the environment; they frustrate the hell out of you and they wind up costing you more in the long run. Somehow I think we all know this. As we start a new year, let’s start with a new philosophy…less is more. It’s good for everyone.
